Year 3 Off the starting blocks Residential Trip to PGL Marchant’s Hill I woke up, bursting with excitement to go to PGL. I jumped out of bed and yelled out ‘yippee!’ My mother, seeing that I was awake, told me to get dressed and I sprang into action, clothes flying everywhere. My sister, hearing all the noise, looked up sleepily. ‘I’m dressed!’- I called out to her in a cheeky voice. I ran in and shook my father awake. ‘It’s PGL!’- I shouted. I ran downstairs to greet my dog who woofed happily. I ate my breakfast as quick as a rocket and zoomed to get my shoes on. When my mum and I turned to go out, my dog looked on grumpily. Orla N 22 We arrived at PGL and everybody was buzzing with excitement. We were told to get our suitcases and put them in a shed for safe keeping. Next, we were introduced to out instructor called G. After that, we were put in our room groups. I was with Clemmie, Freya, Lexie and Daisy and for the activity groups - with Amelia, Clemmie, Marcus, Freddie, Lexie and Mariette. Eden C There were lots of exciting activities: the giant swing, the zip wire, rafting, sensory trail and aeroball. My favourite activities were aeroball and the zip wire - they were most exhilarating and great fun. None of them made me feel frightened. Harry M The giant swing was massive and held two people at a time. We were harnessed in so we knew we weren’t going to fall off but it was still terrifying as we sailed through the sky at the speed of light! Daisy J
