Year 6
Holly Lodge
During the Spring Term, Year 6 visited
Holly Lodge in Richmond Park to learn
about how to be a good citizen. This
included learning about how to travel
around the capital safely, and how to
get help if needed.
The children learnt how to plan a safe
route, give first aid and how to stay safe
online.
“I learnt how to be safe on public
transport .“ Sanaya R
All of these skills are useful as Year 6 move
onto their secondary schools and begin to
become more independent citizens.
Cycling Proficiency
Year 6 completed a week long cycle training in the Summer term.
They were taught how to ride on the road safely and how to spot
hazards they may come across when cycling in the borough. The
were tested on a variety of aspects while out and about on their
bikes, and every child passed with flying colours.
“I enjoyed learning how to be safe on the roads in Richmond.”
