Art Art Day Art Day saw our pupils engaged in a myriad of art activities providing a real feast for the eyes! Internal workshops complimented those of the external artists. Nursery was inspired by Van Gogh producing two magnificent canvasses; Kindergarten used toy cars to create patterns on canvas made by their wheels in the style of Jackson Pollock. Year 1 worked with an array of textiles, making wooden spoon dolls and hula hoop weaving. Meanwhile, Michelangelo would have been proud of Year 2 as they attempted to work lying underneath their desks simulating the working environment that the Sistine Chapel posed for the great artist. The human desire to be creative and expressive knows no boundaries and this was a wonderful example of the fact that there are no limits to imagination in children. They embraced their own creative nature as they worked with classical music in the background. There was a very industrious feel to the day but in an incredibly calm atmosphere; it was wonderful to see the children so inspired by Art. 100
