Book Day
As Book Day came around again , it was a delight to see such a fantas c array of characters flooding in through the doors and a sea of excited faces ready to begin the day ’ s ac vi es . The school was transformed as children entered the magical world of Hogwarts , were greeted by a crew of pirates or found Bog Babies hidden in the classroom !
Throughout the day , the children immersed themselves in the world of books , and the Infant House were thrilled to receive a surprise visit from The Tiger who Came to Tea , who came bearing food and stories and joined the classes for a delicious picnic . Children across the school displayed their dazzling ou its during the Costume Parade , flaun ng capes , hats , masks and colours galore , and they also had the pleasure of welcoming Gareth P Jones , who provided great entertainment when performing an amusing song in front of the whole school . Gareth P Jones also hosted a series of workshops for the children , which was especially exci ng for Year 1 who have been reading his book Beards from Outer Space .
