The children of Year One thrilled their parents with their Summer Performance about global warming . " Eddie the Penguin Saves the World ” tells the story of a clever penguin who decides to travel the earth to find out why the
polar ice caps are mel ng , and what he can do to stop it . He taught the people of America to save energy by turning the lights off , the people of Brazil to stop cu ng trees down , the people of Australia to recycle and re-use , and the people of Britain to walk to school instead of using cars . The children took to the stage with confidence and terrific singing voices . It was clear to see how much hard work they had put into rehearsing their lines , learning songs , and making sure that the audience were cap vated . A erwards , Vasily said that he liked wearing his costume because it was white and he had fluffy ears . Molly ’ s favourite part was walking off the stage because she could see her mummy . Ruhaan admi ed that he had found it a bit tricky because he had to stay very quiet when it wasn ’ t his turn . The children didn ' t disappoint and made their teachers proud too .
