First Steps

Wetlands Centre

Our Nursery children ventured to the London Wetland Centre in the spring term . They first sought out the log garden , filled with a huge variety of different minibeasts including spiders , ants , woodlice , slugs , snails and much more . This visit gives the children the opportunity to experience hands-on what it is like to explore the undergrowth under the logs and inves gate their findings close up with magnifying glasses . A truly inspiring trip for our Nursery pupils !

Ladybird Footprints

What a lovely feeling when your feet and toes are all squelchy with paint as you wriggle them about ! Focus and concentra on were the key to success in shaping each child ’ s Ladybird Footprint . Whilst connec ng their tac le and sensory skills they were able to express their emo ons in a variety of ways .
