Goodbye Kew College – Class of 2018

My me at Kew College has been the best experience of my life . From engaging lessons to exhilara ng residen als , I have loved every second . When I joined in Nursery , clutching my teddy bear , I was instantly welcomed . All the lovely teachers smiled at me and I knew at that moment that for the next eight years I would love my new school . One of my strongest memories has definitely been playing Tinkerbell in the Year 4 summer play . It was both fun and hard work . This year , in Year 6 , I am playing Violet Beauregarde for our produc on of ‘ Charlie and the Chocolate Factory ’. Recently we embarked on a journey to France for a week , which was great fun . My favourite part was definitely the ‘ Mud Assault Course ’ where you splashed around in pungent mud , ge ng both you and your friends dirty ! I will miss the friendly environment and the teachers who have nurtured me along my Kew College school career . When you start KC , my No . 1 Top Tip would be not to be scared , because no ma er what happens , you will find friends for life . When I start my new school , No ng Hill & Ealing High School , I will be fully prepared and ready because of KC . Goodbye Kew College ; you will always be in my heart ! Stanzi L 6S
When I strode through those towering glass doors , I stared at the ginormous school . That very school would be the centre of my life for the next 8 years . How I dreaded that very first day in nursery . I was crying , wailing at my mum , grabbing her and pulling on her . However , I did not know , that day would change my life forever . At 11:30 am that day , I leapt onto my dad , explaining what an amazing day I had . During my me at Kew College , I had many memorable moments . Some included , being in my first ever na vity play and singing a solo as angel Gabriel , being chosen to be house and cricket captain and having a main role in the year 6 summer produc on of ‘ Charlie and the Chocolate factory ’. My favourite lessons are History , Art and P . E . One thing I would suggest to younger years is to have as much fun as possible during their school life . You will never get a chance to have another childhood , so make as many memories as possible and meet loads of friends . My favourite residen al trip was France . It was fun to have no gadgets , so we conversed very well and the ac vi es were awesome . I par cularly enjoyed bread making and ea ng our own work . Kew College has been so friendly and encouraging and prepared me for my dream school Hampton . I will be so sad to leave and I have never been more depressed about leaving anywhere before . Farewell Kew College . I will miss you . Thomas T 6S
As I exit the big blue doors one last me and bid a solemn farewell to all my kind and caring teachers , I will know it was eight years very well spent . Whether it be the thrill of climbing the wall in France or jumping into astronomically cold lakes at Bushcra , I have loved it all , well , apart from those pesky exams . The wonderful teaching staff have helped me greatly along the way and I owe much of my ‘ success ’ to them . They [ in my eyes ] were the real reason I got into my dream school Whitgi . On my first day , as I walked into the school , I was extremely a nervous to meet the Head at the me . Despite my nerves , I was helped tremendously well through the first year by the Nursery teachers . The overall highlight in the last eight years would have to be sleeping outside next to all my mates at Bushcra . In par cular , asking one of my best friends what the me was , expec ng it to be a couple of minutes un l wake up me , and him replying with a sharp : ‘ Go back to bed G , its 2:32 !’ Thank you Kew College , I will miss you !
