Trip to Kew Village
Year 1 had great fun learning about the different types of shops as part of our Geography curriculum . A trip to Kew Village enabled the children to explore the products and services on offer in our local area . With pencils and ck-sheets at the ready , the groups set-off . Hanna saw lots of fruit and vegetables and pointed out that the shop was a greengrocer . Derrin was quick to spot the op cian and said that people who wear glasses visit that shop . Lara iden fied a butcher when she saw meat through the window . To the children ’ s amazement , it soon became clear that customers in the Village are spoilt for choice , with such a wide range of shops to enjoy ! The shopkeepers responded very posi vely to all of the ques ons our pupils posed and added to their understanding and apprecia on of different types of shops .
