Country
What better way to celebrate this wealth of Kent
countryside activity than with a wine-tasting trip
to one of the county’s most eminent vineyards?
Established in 1969, Biddenden Vineyards is Kent’s
oldest family-run vineyard and has grown from under
half an acre to an incredible 24 acres today. Open to
the public throughout the year, with free admission
and tastings, there’s a brilliant self-guided tour route
around the vines and four-legged friends are even
welcome to stroll along beside you. Near Tenterden,
and something of a celebrity in vineyard circles, Chapel
Down offers guided tours of its 100-acre vineyard
and winery followed by tutored wine tastings for just
£15 per person, giving visitors the chance to taste for
themselves what makes their award-winning wines and
sparkling wines loved by residents and royalty alike.
