a e r a r u o y in Funding for s t n e d u t s l a c o l East Kent Area Panel Chair, Linda Scamp and Vice Chair, Bob Goodger presented staff and students at the Abbey School, Faversham with a cheque for £2,000. The money was allocated from the Area Panel’s Local Improvement Fund. The grant will fund facilities for students to improve their chances of finding employment or further education. Part of the grant will also support a healthy eating after school club. The Area Panel Chair commented: “We’re happy to help in providing the best possible start in life for our young people.” Swap and Move A festive fayre! We celebrated the end of 2015 with a Christmas fayre at The Alexander Centre in Faversham. Pupils from The Abbey School helped out with activities for local youngsters, including biscuit decorating and chocolate snowball making. The Abbey School also provided the refreshments.
