news Message from the Chair Changes to office opening times Linda Scamp We’ve done some great partnership working with the Abbey School lately. The school also supported our Christmas event, so we’re really pleased to be building a positive union. We’re hoping to offer further support by inviting students to observe panel meetings in the future. We worked with the Royal British Legion for Remembrance Day and other parades in the area. I’m very excited about the links being made on such a local level. Our priorities The Area Panel has set three priorities to focus on over the next four years: „„ Neighbourhoods – including tacking anti social behaviour hot spots and increasing engagement with residents „„ Money matters – raising awareness of welfare reform and tackling fuel poverty „„ Unity in the community – finding out the needs of residents and identifying ways to reduce isolation and loneliness. Get involved We’re looking for new resident members on the Area Panel. If you’d like to help us influence AmicusHorizon’s local service delivery, come along to an involvement taster session to find out more.
