Parents, teachers, students, administrators, and community members attended one of four Education Summits to get their voice heard as part of the District’s Visioning initiative. Students from Keller High and Central High were featured on WFAA’s Party on Plaza to promote their annual Pink-Out Game. s m a r g r e t #La KISD’s Maintenance & Operations donated campus furniture and supplies to Hurricane Harvey-affected school districts. Trinity Springs Middle School Assistant Principal Brad Burleson, who was serving in Puerto Rico for the Hurricane Maria recovery efforts, made a special effort to reach out to the family of a TSMS cafeteria employee. Several KISD elementary schools hosted a Storybook Character Day Parade to celebrate their love of reading during Red Ribbon Week. 20 More than 4,000 teachers and staff gathered for KISD’s Employee Convocation to kick-off the school year. Timber Creek High School continued its Homecoming tradition of delivering mums to an exceptional group of students.
