2020 – 2022 Westminster City Council ( WCC ) – Operations Manager
Worked closely with the main FM providers and consultants for various projects within WCC buildings including mortuary , care home and special needs care centers . Reviewed statutory documentation to ensure compliance and undertook asset management audits to ensure all assets captured on the CAFAM system . Provided advice and guidance on M & E issues for safe contract delivery .
2016 - 2020 BAE Systems – Engineering Manager Infrastructure South
I worked closely with client , consultants , contractors and Project Managers for the procurement of Projects across 23 UK based sites in the south of England .
I worked on Strategic Definition , project preparation and project brief reviewing project concept design development and its technical parameters as well as supporting the project construction phase , project handover and close out reviewing both lessons learned and good working practices . I carried out inspection of the M & E installation
ensuring Health & Safety and CDM regulations are adhered to by undertaking the checking and auditing of the project . Oversaw the maintenance of HV switchgear as part of a COMAH agreement .
2006 - 2016 Interserve Defence – Authorised Person
Authorised Persons duties issuing Safe Systems of Work documentation for Mechanical , High Temperature Hot Water systems up to 150 o C , Dental Air and Vacuum Systems , Electrical Systems 11KV , 415V and 240V systems with two or more sources of supply and Confined Spaces as well as Class 2 bulk fuel installation and hazardous areas .
1997 - 2006 Amey Quinetiq – Authorised Person
Authorised Person duties for HV up to and including 33 KV and mechanical systems , confined spaces and petroleum . Managed directly employed labour force consisting electricians , plumber-fitters and general builders . Ensured that all works , both routine planned maintenance and response , were completed in accordance with contract requirements . I was placed on secondment to TAG Aviation Farnborough to manage the migration of the airfield from military specification to civilian specification with regards to airfield lighting . This involved commissioning of the new control tower , managing the team , the replacement of airfield lighting and control systems , and the relocation of the aircraft touchdown point on the runway .
1995 - 1997 DERA – Rationalisation Support Manager
As M & E lead to the Project Manager on the building of the new energy centre and oversaw the installation , commissioning and testing of three Ygnis HTWH boilers ( 120 o C ) rated at 4000kw each with full modulating burners , three York water cooled chillers rated at 2000kw each with BAC evaporative condensers , and the installation of 12 number 11kv high voltage substations with Merlin Gerin SF6 switch gear . Refurbishment of two 33kv to 11kv forced cooled 90mva oil filled transformers including the automatic tap changers .
