STICKY DATE AND WALNUT CAKE

Ingredients and Method

11g of walnuts

200 g of fresh dates

100g butter

3 eggs

125g sugar

125g self-riasing flour

1) Remove the pits from the dates and cut into smaller pieces. Blend the dates and walnuts with the flour.

2) In another bowl, mix the sugar with the softened butter

3) Separate the eggs and add the egg yolks to the sugar/butter mixture until it’s soft and creamy.

4) Add the flour/fruit mixture. Whisk the egg whites until stiff, then slowly, while mixing with a wooden spoon, add the other mixture

5) Bake at 150 degrees C for 30 minutes
