Environment
Understanding environmental problems such as
climate change, food security, water resources,
pollution and conservation, as well as their
solutions, is now more important than ever as
societies around the world attempt to tackle
and mitigate these issues.
Our interdisciplinary degree programmes offer students the flexibility
to study the environment from a science (Environmental Science)
or social science (Environmental Studies) perspective, or to cross
the traditional science-social science divide through our innovative
Environment and Sustainability degree programme, where students
study both science and social-science perspectives on environmental
and sustainability issues.
Whether you are studying our single or dual honours programmes,
our international reputation for research and teaching on
environmental issues will prepare you for a wide range of careers,
including environmental consultancy and management, in
government regulatory bodies, non-governmental organisations,
industry and research, as well as a breadth of other career choices.
