Daniel Roberts Science Foundation Year, graduated 2009, Geology and Physical Geography graduated 2013, MSc Geoscience Research, graduated 2015 I started off at Keele with a Science Foundation Year in 2009 as I didn’t have the qualifications needed to go straight onto a course. At the time, I wasn’t really sure what course or career path I would like to follow – I just wanted to go to university – so the Foundation Year was a great way for me to take my time to find out what really grabbed my attention and passions. From that, I went on to study Geology and Physical Geography and graduated with a 2:2 in July 2013. I wanted to continue my academic studies in order to stand out to prospective employers and I decided to study for an MSc in Geoscience Research Training with International Placement at Keele. I graduated in January 2015 with a Distinction. I am currently working at AECOM as a Graduate Geophysicist. During my time at Keele, I was given the opportunity to study abroad at the University of Utah, USA and Universidad de Oviedo, Spain. This shows prospective employers that you are able to adapt to things and situations that are not necessarily in your comfort zone. Smart minds choose Keele 185
