Music and Music Technology Key Information Why study this course? Combining Music and Music Technology at Keele enables you to balance tradition and innovation. With Music, you’ll develop historical and critical understanding in a practical environment, composing, performing, recording and studying music from a diversity of styles and periods. Music Technology, meanwhile, enables you to become fluent in the creative application of technology in composition, music production, sound design, screen music, audio-visuals and music software. Interactions between the two subjects include popular music, where recording and production are balanced by analysis and performance; composition, where acoustic and digital instruments meet; and screen music, where composing for film, TV and multimedia is enriched by the critical study of film scoring history and aesthetics.
