Physiotherapy is a highly rewarding and
challenging career that supports the independence
and quality of life of people affected by injury,
illness or disability. Keele physiotherapy students
study in an attractive campus environment
in relatively small groups supported by an
enthusiastic and collaborative course team.
The Keele physiotherapy programme is highly

Study physiotherapy at Keele and you will develop the therapeutic,
analytical and communication skills that will enable you to
be an effective member of a health care team. As a qualified
physiotherapist you will have career opportunities that extend across
a variety of healthcare settings including the NHS and private and
voluntary sectors. Physiotherapy at Keele offers the opportunity to
study using a range of learning approaches and a variety of clinical
placement experiences in a range of specialities and environments.
Our Rehabilitation Science course is innovative and varied. You will
study subjects that are allied to the national and global health and
wellbeing agenda, underpinned by core subjects including anatomy,
physiology, human movement and exercise, and interpersonal skills.
You can also choose from a range of elective modules in each of the
three years enabling you to focus your degree on an area specific to
your interests.
The Rehabilitation Science course aims to produce highly motivated
graduates who are suitably prepared for employment or further
study. Employability skills are embedded within every module and it
is envisaged that graduates will find employment in the public and
private sector, the charity sector, the leisure industry, education and
business. The course also qualifies graduates to undertake a variety
of postgraduate courses and graduate training programmes.
