Undergraduate Prospectus 2017 | Physics
Physics
Physics aims to understand the way our world
works and is the basis for most developments
which characterise life in the 21st century,
including mobile technology, medical
diagnosis, windpower and the internet.
Physicists use experiments, mathematical models and
computer simulation to propose, test, evaluate and develop
theories that explain phenomena in the natural world.
This depth of understanding allows you to predict behaviour
and apply knowledge to improve the quality of life for both
individuals and society as a whole. A number of intellectual
and transferable skills gained by becoming a Physicist are
highly sought after by potential employers.
Our courses are informed by cutting-edge research – in fact
a work experience student at Keele recently discovered a
new planet! Our courses are accredited by the Institute of
Physics, and are highly rated in the National Student Survey.
You can combine Physics with a range of other subjects and
will develop skills that underpin a breadth of career options.
