Tuition fees Tuition fees for Home and EU students: • All undergraduate, full-time degree courses – £9,000 a year (subject to approval) • The Foundation Year – £9,000 • The General Foundation Year – £5,500 a year (no financial support from the government) Scholarships and bursaries* The Keele Excellence Scholarship is a cash award of either £2,000, £1,000 or £500 for each year of your full-time undergraduate course at Keele, depending on the A-level grades (or equivalent) you achieve and your course of study. You will be awarded the following amounts relevant to your grades: • £2,000 per year for three A-levels at AAA† • £1,000 per year for three A-levels at AAB† • £500 per year for three A-levels at ABB† • The Keele University Bursary is a cash bursary of £1,000 paid each year to any student who receives the maximum maintenance grant or Special Support grant and is liable to pay the full £9,000 annual tuition fee. • The Study Abroad Bursary is worth £1,000 for the study abroad year only, and helps support some students taking part in our Study Abroad programme. †Students with some equivalent qualifications and grades also qualify. *This information is accurate at the time of publication (March 2015) and maybe subject to change. The value of the grant you are entitled to is means-tested and will, therefore, depend on your household income. If you choose to pay your fees during your studies, you can make payments in up to two instalments each year. UK students can take out an additional student loan, known as the maintenance loan or living cost loan, to help with living costs. This loan is partially means tested and the amount you can receive also depends on where you are studying and living. Unfortunately you will not be eligible for university bursaries. Loans Under the current system, if you are a UK student you do not have to pay tuition fees yourself whilst you are studying.
