ASK (Advice and Support at Keele)
ASK provides free, confidential, independent,
impartial, non-judgemental advice, information
and representation to Keele students. ASK staff
are able to advise on a wide range of areas,
including: academic issues and university
regulations, welfare benefits, consumer issues,
employment, debt, fees/finance, immigration/visas,
local information, grants, housing, loans, personal
matters and more. ASK also works closely with
Vice Presidents Education and Welfare, two of the
student-elected officers within the Students’ Union.
ASK and its staff are members of: AdviceUK; the UK
Council for International Student Affairs (UKCISA)
(through which we are authorised to provide
immigration advice), and the National Association
of Student Money Advisers. ASK subscribes to an
information system supplied by the Citizens Advice
Bureau. ASK is regulated by the Financial Conduct
Authority and is able to provide debt counselling.
ASK works to a Code of Practice; policies are
available online.

Nightline – Keele’s student led
listening service
We are proud of the role our students play in
supporting one another throughout their university
experience. Nightline is a great example of this,
offering a confidential student-led information
and listening service, which is available to all
students every evening of the week (9pm-3am)
during term time.
