Postgraduate Prospectus 2017 Graduate profiles What is my life like after graduating? Gonca Gencalioglu Kuscu MPhil in Geology 1997 I’m a Professor of Geological Engineering in Mugla Sitki Kocman University in Turkey. I chose Keele because I had the opportunity to study with a very distinguished geologist. He was very supportive during my studies at Keele, and afterwards. I became a lecturer right after finishing my PhD. I still use the material donated by my supervisor in my practical courses. Chris Allo PGCSE French and English 1995 I’m the Head of English at Henriette Hørlücks Skole/Odense International School in Denmark. My postgraduate course at Keele gave me the basic theoretical knowledge required to be a successful international educator, but above all it gave me the confidence to trust my instincts and be able to talk about successes and failures in my daily practice. Maggie Ashton MA Human Rights, Globalisation and Justice 2010 I am currently working as a teacher and I have just been awarded a whole school development post to lead a project working on community engagement, global citizenship and wider personal development. Keele is a proper community - there’s always a familiar face, with high quality teaching from real experts in the field. Postgraduate Virtual Open Day Now on demand at keele.ac.uk/virtual-open-days 16
