The modern shopping area hosts a variety of shops, restaurants and coffee shops, and is within walking distance to four big supermarkets. A daily market takes place selling everything from fruit to furniture. The eight screen Vue cinema is surrounded by a number of restaurants, bars and traditional pubs. Close to the centre are a variety of gyms, including the Jubilee2 with swimming pool. The New Vic Theatre offers reduced prices for students, showcasing a range of plays, concerts and exhibitions in the theatre-in-the-round.
