US Politics Key Information Overview The United States plays a leading role in the world. While no longer the dominant superpower, the US is still a vital player if you’re keen to understand a series of international issues, whether global warming, nuclear proliferation, economic development or the war in Syria. Its domestic politics are fascinating too, whether trying to explain the unusual nature of some of its policies (gun control, legalisation of cannabis), the strident and sometimes debilitating nature of its party politics or the challenges of presidential leadership. If you want to truly understand the complex political currents that can create both world leading technological innovation alongside the Tea Party and Donald Trump, then this is the course for you. Keele University has the largest number of permanent staff in US politics in the country. These internationally recognised experts will provide you with a depth of study and broad choice of specialisms that you will not find elsewhere.
