Research Methods in Health
module and the Dissertation
module, together with Evidence
Based Practice or Assessment
and Measurement, develop your
research capabilities and critical
evaluation skills.
Our MSc Physiotherapy will meet
your individual needs to review
and evaluate the background
of the physiotherapy profession
and to integrate this into your
practice where appropriate.
You will develop critical and
evaluative thinking, writing,
and communication, and
transfer scientific knowledge
from theory into practice. Your
newly developed research skills
will provide you with a sound
academic core to your practice in
physiotherapy and healthcare.

Applicants are required
to be qualified
physiotherapists normally
having a first or secondclass honours degree
(2.2 or above) or an
overseas equivalent in
Physiotherapy. Applicants
will possess bachelor’s
degree level knowledge
and skills in the areas
of musculoskeletal,
cardiovascularrespiratory and
neurological
physiotherapy. For
students whose first
language is not English,
IELTS with a minimum 6.5
overall and at least 6 in
each sub-test is required.
