Applications and Admissions
Applications to study Mathematics at Keele should be made through the Universities
and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS). In the majority of cases, a conditional
offer will be made on the basis of information contained in the UCAS application.
Entry by A-level qualifications
Entrance requirements will depend on the
degree programme you wish to pursue.
Our current requirements are:
Single Honours (including with
International Year): minimum grades
BBC, with Grade B or above in
Mathematics;
Mathematics with Integrated Master’s
(MMath) (including with International
year): for applicants without Further
Mathematics, minimum grades AAB with
grade A in Mathematics; for applicants
with Further Mathematics, minimum
grades ABB with grade A in either
Mathematics or Further Mathematics;
Combined Honours: minimum grades
BBC, with grade B in Mathematics,
though the precise offer will depend
on the other Principal subject;
We encourage applicants to take
advantage of all opportunities to extend
their learning of mathematics, for example
by studying Further Mathematics.
However, we do not require A-Level
Further Mathematics for entry onto any
of our programmes.
Entry by other
qualifications
We welcome applications from students
(including mature and international
students) with suitable alternative
qualifications.
