In the 1960s , Keele was a pioneer UK university to introduce a counselling service , a concept which is now commonplace . We are now leading a new mental health and well-being initiative , working with the NHS , to develop new and innovative approaches to student well-being and mental health that can be rolled out nationally to meet changing needs .
Our academics are leading the way in everything from climate change and sustainability , to global health and food security , with research that creates a better world .
