Public health is about helping people and communities to stay healthy , and protecting them from threats to their health . It includes identifying how to manage killer epidemics , and improving the physical , social and mental health of people across communities , with emphasis on reducing health inequalities .
When you study social work , you will explore social issues such as diversity , rights , justice , ethics and law . During the course , you will experience and engage with a diverse range of adults and children , learning to complete assessments , care plans and reviews , and considering complex life challenges and ways to enhance well-being and improve people ’ s lives .
