166 | Forensic Science This exciting area of science at Keele provides an outstanding understanding of forensic science whilst exposing you to a range of facilities and techniques, through research-led teaching and a hands-on learning environment. Studying Forensic Science gives you a wide range of career opportunities and at Keele, we offer several different courses to enable you to tailor your studies to your interests or wider career plans. You will gain a broad understanding of many areas of forensic science including genetics, toxicology, arson, ballistics, digital forensics, drug analysis and anthropology. From the crime scene to the lab and onto the courtroom, you will learn to recover, analyse and interpret evidence, and to present your findings as an expert witness. Our brand new Central Science Laboratories contain a range of analytical instrumentation that is commonly used in a commercial forensic environment. Our Crime Scene House and extensive outdoor spaces allow you to practise the skills you developed in the laboratory in real-world settings.
