If your qualification isn’t listed, or you
have a combination of qualifications,

In addition to IGCSEs, O Levels,
International Baccalaureate and
IELTS, Keele accepts a number of
country specific English language
qualifications as evidence of
your ability for direct entry to
undergraduate courses. You will
usually need IELTS 6.0-7.0 or
equivalent depending on your
chosen course. Country specific
English qualifications currently
accepted if achieved within the
last 2 years are*:
• Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary
Education (HKDSE) with 4 or
above
• Malaysian O level SP 1119
with a C or above
• CBSE and ICSE English
with 75% or higher
• Kenya Certificate of Secondary
Education (KCSE) with a C+
or above
• Uganda Certificate of Education
with a 3 or higher
• West African Senior School
Certificate (WAEC) with English
at C6 or above
• Nigerian Examinations Council
(NECO) with English at C6 or
above
• Romanian Baccalaureat
English with B2 overall and
B2 in the subtests
