Accommodation
A PLACE TO CALL HOME
At Keele we have over 2,800 rooms in a variety
of types and costs across our four halls of residence.
We offer all of our September arrival international
students, who apply by 30th June, university managed
accommodation (after this date accommodation
may be still be available).
Halls and facilities
Both single and mixed gender
accommodation is available,
and there is the option of en suite
or shared bathroom facilities.
We offer specially adapted rooms
for students with disabilities.
All rooms have wifi. Accommodation fees
University accommodation
represents great value for money.
Residency fees cover Internet
connection, personal possessions
insurance and all utility services.
Fees vary according to hall
and/or room facilities.
Facilities vary between halls,
but all have their own common
rooms and launderettes. Please see
keele.ac.uk/discover/
accommodation
for details of our
accommodation fees.
Undergraduate students are
typically offered accommodation
from September to June (37 weeks)
enabling them to return home or to
travel during the summer vacation.
Postgraduate students are offered
accommodation for 51 weeks
to ensure that they can remain
on campus for the duration of
their course.
Safety and support
Student safety is one of our highest
priorities and we have a 24 hour
security team. Many accommodation
buildings have student swipe-card
entry systems and each hall of
residence has a team of resident
support assistants available during
evenings and weekends.
Single gender
We have single gender
accommodation in our traditional
accommodation blocks (rooms with
or without a washbasin or shared
4 person flats). All of our premier
flats and premier en-suite rooms are
mixed gender since these rooms
have their own bathrooms - kitchens
are shared between male and
female students.
