Keele Concerts are back , this season we have eight vibrant and diverse concerts and can ’ t wait to welcome you !
Keele Concerts Society welcomes you back to join us for it ’ s 50th season which will commence in October and continue until March 2022 . The series this year will present eight varied performances with well-established and internationally acclaimed artists and young musicians .

The President
I was thoroughly enjoying my term as President for the 2019 / 2020 season until Covid-19 brought the arts world crashing to a halt in March last year , forcing the cancellation of concerts .
Needless to say that it has been a very difficult period for artists , musicians and concertgoers alike .... a cultural void for almost eighteen months !
I was therefore , very pleased to hear that Keele Concert Society would be recommencing events in October . I was even more delighted to be invited to ‘ stay on ’ and continue my presidency for the new season as my last term of office had been curtailed following last year ’ s enforced lockdown .
The collaboration with Stoke-on- Trent Festival to present the Age of the Orchestra of Enlightenment at the MAC in Hanley as part of your series almost two years ago was very successful .
I hope that this concert will be forerunner of future joint promotions . Certainly as we rebuild audiences , it ’ s imperative that arts organisations work together in this way to build confidence and spread their resources .
The new eight concert season offers an excellent wide range of music . Whether you enjoy folk music , classical guitar or jazz there ’ s something on offer for all tastes .
Please come and enjoy an evening of music at Keele and help the society return to a semblance of normality .

The Chair
I am again delighted to accept the role of Chair of KCS and in that capacity it gives me particular pleasure to welcome you to the 2021 / 22 season , our 50th , of Keele Concerts .
Since the final concert of our curtailed 2019 / 20 season the Covid 19 lockdown has had a serious detrimental effect on live music and in particular for professional musicians . It is therefore with great pleasure we are able welcome audiences and performers back to the Keele concert venues and sincerely hope that you be able to join us .
This coming season will comprise of eight concerts spread , as is our tradition , over the autumn through to spring , and will cover a diverse and exciting variety of musical genres .
The opening concert of the season will see the return of Kabantu to perform their blend of world music and I do hope to welcome you on October 20th to once again enjoy live music at Keele .
