Jumping horse--There are many processes when the horse was
jumping in a jumping horse competition. The jumping
processes are:
1. APPROACH-final canter stride before the jump,
during which the horse places all four legs for the
optimal take-off.
2. TAKE-OFF-the forelegs leave the ground and it is
completed when the hind-legs leave the ground.
3. FLIGHT, SUSPENSION, or AIRBORNE PHASE-the
horse's center of mass follows a parabolic trajectory over
which it has no control.
4. LANDING-the horse lands first with the trailing
(non-leading) foreleg, and then with the lead foreleg.
5. RECOVERY, GET AWAY-During the first stride
after the jump, the horse re-balances himself. Horses
