Send us your email at [email protected] Dear Kingsway Alumni, It has been a beautiful fall this year in Ontario. The weather has been fantastic and the colours spectacular on our beautiful campus and beyond. There is something about the change of seasons that encourages reflection upon one’s life. I hope that as you take a moment from your busy schedule and spend time reading through this edition of the KC Contact lovingly prepared for you by Christina Lister and myself, you can reflect on what Kingsway College has meant to you. Many new memories are being made by our current students but as you know, when you are actually in the moment, it is rare that the true appreciation of the memory you are creating occurs. It is once you have moved on from this place that the memories begin to emerge from the archives of our minds and often at the most unexpected times. I want to challenge each of you to send Christina or myself an e-mail ([email protected]) in the next few months and share with us a memory of Kingsway College that has been meaningful to you. We will plan to publish as many of these stories as possible in the next several issues. We have begun in this edition with a heartfelt article written by one of our dear alumnae Patricia (Ferreira) Lopez ‘92. You can read her article on page 7. One never knows when a memory will come to mind, so be ready with a pen and paper or if you are tech savvy a pen and tablet to jot down that memory and share it with the Kingsway family at large. Speaking of tablets, the exciting news for this school year has been the addition of Dell tablets to the arsenal of tools used for Academic purposes. These tablets have been placed in students hands and are being used in the classroom to enhance the learning experience. It is by the grace of God and a dedicated team led by Chris Mortenson that we were able to get these tablets up and running for the school year. We often hear about the negative side of technology, but in this instance I can confidently report that technology is being used for good to promote academic excellence and prepare our students for life in the 21st century. We continue to seek to do God’s will in all aspects of Kingsway life and it is through much prayer and God’s grace that we are able to accomplish the task at hand. Thank you to each of you for your continued support. The KC Contact is going Digital! An archive of issues can be found on our website and Facebook.
