Sunrise Tours explore the beauty of Kauai at first light

The Sunrise Tours at Hokuala feature spectacular scenery and an education about the area .
For early birds , worms are the bounty . For early risers at the Ocean Course at Hokuala , the potential reward is much more appetizing : a Sunrise Tour . Featuring spectacular scenery and a touch of education , Sunrise Tours ( Hui Aloha Huaka ’ i ) are available every Tuesday at 6:30 a . m ., with check-in at 6:15 a . m . at the golf shop . The two-hour golf cart journey through nature starts with a Sunrise Greeting “ E Ala E ” Oli ( chant ) with an Alaka ’ i ( tour guide ), followed by a brief sharing of the oli composed by Hawaiian cultural specialist and renowned Kumu Hula , Dr . Pualani Kanaka ’ ole Kanahele .
