TEACHING PROGRAM FINISHING TOUCH

A proper follow through is key to a successful swing
By Kellie Akana , PGA , Director of Instruction

With most endeavors , the key to success often lies in properly following through . The same can be said about the golf swing .

When I ’ m on the course visiting with golfers , I notice a similarity among 85 percent of players – they don ’ t follow through with their swing . A proper follow through means finishing the swing with your weight on your forward foot , and your chest , belly button ( piko in Hawaiian ) and hips facing toward your target .
Holding that finish in a balanced fashion is sure to get you more yardage and improved accuracy . ................................................................. > CLICK HERE to learn more about the Hokuala Teaching Program .
