From prized beef to ocean catches , Hualani ’ s Restaurant is featuring a variety of new items on the menu for summer
Summer Chopped Salad : Features local greens , toasted macadamia nuts , and citrus , sprouts , mint , cilantro and basil from The Farm at Hokuala . The salad is served with a sesame vinaigrette and offers a Vietnamese-style flavor profile with ingredients that are all Kauai .
The Ribeye : It ’ s back ! Featuring Harris Ranch Black Angus – one of the country ’ s most prized cuts – this steak is grilled to order and served with crushed Yukon Golds , vegetables from local farms , and topped with a green peppercorn demi-glace .
Poisson Cru : One of Hualani ’ s most requested items from last year , the Poisson Cru includes local Ono , crispy vegetables , coconut milk , and limes from The Farm at Hokuala tossed together and served in a frozen coconut from the property .
Lobster Risotto : The Lobster Risotto is now made with Amaebi from the Kaulakahi Channel between Niihau and Kauai . The cold-water shrimp are harvested from 500 fathoms , the spot where prawns are sweet and buttery .

Kaua`i dining establishment recently placed Silver in the Best Kauai Restaurant category in the Hale ‘ Aina Awards , Hawaii ’ s longest-running and most prestigious dining honors .
Founded by HONOLULU Magazine in 1984 to spotlight the best restaurants in Hawaii , the awards were voted on by more than 8,000 readers , and were announced June 7 during a live reception at the Harry & Jeanette Weinberg Ho ‘ okupu Center .
