FOREWORD
Every year , we come together as a university community to explore a topic deeply . Students , staff and faculty engage in discussions about big picture ideas , take part in musical performances , screen thought-provoking films and so much more .
In the past we have hosted Nobel laureates , filmmakers , world-class authors , groundbreaking innovators and more . WEP 2020 was no exception . We explored personalized medicine and we did it with some of the people leading the charge to make healthcare both a symptom of big data knowledge , while applying it to the individual .
This is possible because of advances in AI , computing power , clinical research and contributions of many of the world ’ s most innovative technology companies . Perhaps more exciting , is that it promises to personally improve the lives of people around the globe while building a body of medical knowledge unprecedented in human history .
