Joseph Estrada – What made
him win the hearts of the people,
specifically the masses, and
convinced them to vote for him
was his campaign slogan, “Erap
para sa mahirap.” He was also
another president who was not
able to finish his term because of
his impeachment case, having
been involved in jueteng. However, he was not actually impeached, because his trial was not
finished due to the Second People
Power Revolution, which eventually led to him removed from
office. The court just made him
declare that he has resigned from
his position, to make it official.
Ramon Magsaysay – He was dubbed as the president
for the masses. The doors of Malacanang were open to the
public when he was president. He was also not able to
finish his term because he died when the plane he was in
crashed at Mount Pinatubo.
Gloria Macapagal Arroyo –
As Estrada’s vice president, she
took his place as the president of
the Philippines after the events of
EDSA 2. She later ran for reelection in the 2004 elections against
FPJ, wherein the “Hello Garci”
scandal happened. She was also
involved in several other scandals, but in spite of all of that, she
was still able to hold on to her
position as president. Economic
growth was impressive during her
time as president as well.
Carlos Garcia – He assumed the presidency after Magsaysay’s death. He is well known for his “Filipino First Policy,”
wherein Filipino products and services were preferred or
were given more importance than foreign products and
services.
Diosdado Macapagal – He w \
