As a result of the growing number of travelers in the country airports of UAE are becoming very busy over the years. In addition, UAE airports aree developed to provide the needs of the foreign tourists. The international airports in UAE are in five of its emirates, Abu Dhabi and Al Ain international airport in Abu Dhabi, Dubai international airport, Sharjah international airports, Fujairah international airport and Ras Al Khaimah international airport. Sharjah International Airport is the only airport in UAE that allows Airports to function with their own facilities. In Abu Dhabi there are two International airports- the Abu Dhabi International airport and Al Ain International Airport. The Abu Dhabi International Airport can accommodate more than 5 million passengers a year and numerous International Airlines run their flights in and out in this airport in UAE. While Abu Dhabi International Airport is one of the fastest growing airports in the Middle East, Al Ain International Airport is much smaller at the moment and only 8 airlines operate their flights in this in this Airport of UAE. In 2006 Interior ministry declared that all UAE’s airports should be prepared with e-gate facilities.

Abu Dhabi airport

Abu Dhabi is the center of business and tourist attraction; it has many capabilities for its visitor and residents. The airport was first opened in 1968 under the name of Al Bateen airport, due to the development of the city the airport was moved and re-opened in 1982 under its current name (Abu Dhabi international airport)*. The airport is a unique combination of functional advantages and convivial travel experience. The airport contain 1 runway that is 4.1 km long, 2 cargo terminals, 12 gates, 5 baggage claim belts, and 24 aircraft stands. It accommodates 40 passenger airlines which serve a total of 90 destinations. Also, it contains of 36 check-in counters and 18-hole sand golf course. There are three means of paid transportation from the airport to Abu Dhabi city which are; taxi, bus or car rental. Abu Dhabi airport has hotel for the tourists it’s a five stars hotel to meet their needs. The future plan is to add a new runway also build a new satellite shaped terminal, the terminals includes 200 bedroom, golf course, swimming pool and cinema this for the attraction for the foreign and the visitors for the UAE.
