A word from Karen D ’ Angola
Well , what a first quarter we ’ ve just had . The property market has continued to surge ahead after a strong finish to 2020 . Lowest ever interest rates together with very low stock levels have helped create the perfect storm and this has seen prices increase dramatically , especially over February & March .
DiJones is the largest independent real estate agency in NSW and is firmly at home in the Hills and getting exceptional results .
February recorded the highest single month increase in property prices since 2003 . They on average rose 2.1 %. We are back to the highs of 2017 and in many areas have surpassed that “ peak ”.
Auction clearance rates have stayed steady in the 80 % to early 90 % range . The DiJones network recorded several weeks of 100 % clearance rates . It ’ s currently normal to see 60 + groups come through open homes and offers are coming in quickly with many endeavouring to secure properties prior to auction .
Story of the quarter would have to be 92 Burns Road Kellyville . I had this property for sale in the very early part of 2020 and we struggled to get offers above $ 1.38m . Fast forward almost 12 months and this property sold on the 6th March for a phenomenal $ 1,565,500 . Suffice to say , vendors were very happy they waited it out .
How long this will continue is anyone ’ s guess . Economist have come up with several scenarios but many still predict an upward trend . If you ’ re looking to make that move , then this is certainly a good time to capitalise and we at DiJones have proven that it ’ s the results that matter .
