Created for Marvel by writer Steve Gerber and artist Val Mayerik in 1973. Howard first appeared in Decembers issue of Adventure into Fear and got his own run of comics starting in 1976.
They chronicled the (mis)adventures of the space travelling duck that crash landed in the Florida Everglades all Courtesy of Thog the Overmaster (Now there's a title to be proud of).
