Kim K. discussed the Swift incident
with G.Q. before really talking about
it on the show. Later on, she would
practically declare war to Swift by
airing a recorded phone conversation
of her, seemingly approving of West’s
lyrics in “Famous” through Snapchat.
On that same episode she said: “I’ll
do whatever to protect my husband”.
From the evidence on the show, we
can see that she certainly is.
effect on all of the media outlets.
It’s crucial that a plan for crisis be
predisposed for absolutely every
situation imaginable, including
Kim Kardashian cheating, Kanye
Cheating, their children North or
Saint West falling ill and a potential
direct attack by President Donald
Trump (at this point anything is
possible). As a family with small
children their privacy must always
be made priority.
The media does not exist to confirm
what reality looks like, it works to
tell the audience what it looks like.
The term keeping up appearance
would become a life mantra for Kim
Kardashian and Kanye West, as they
make the incredibly risky choice not
only to take life long vows and devote
their every waking moment of their
future together but to permanently
bind their public images together
(forever and all eternity). That is
to say whatever success, choices,
mistakes or catastrophes happen to
one immediately and permanently
affect the other.
The art of choosing which messages
are being relaid to the general public
is something that will have to become
experts in. An average modern day
consumer (absolutely saturated with
useless information) might not have
an immediate reaction to absolutely
everything the couple does, like exactly
what chapstick they are wearing or
where they buy their socks, but the
way Kanye treats his paying audiences
on tour or other celebrities in award
shows is more than enough to spur a
reaction that will cause a tsunami like

Evolution of Kanye West's Image
BY NAOMI SPENCE
K
anye has been known for his
ability to change his image
at an alarming rate. He has
gone from traditional hip hop, de-
fying “the man” and the educational
system to literally praising Donald
Trump and taking his vows to Kim
Kardashian (a woman who is famous
for being famous), all within the span
of ten years. For example the amount
of times he’s referred to himself in his
work has grown exponentially.
West refers to himself in the third
person four times more on The Life
of Pablo than any of his previous al-
bums, a whopping 33 times total.
Oddly, the number of collaborator
grows by the same margin.
In all sincerity Kanye doesn’t need
validation of anybody but Kanye and
this can be seen reflected in his mu-
sic. The Life of Pablo is Kanye's most
vulgar album and it seems to cross
certain misogynist boundaries that
lost him many important audience
members of an older generation.
The most important thing to Kanye
is kanye and his public image reflects
that. We can’t know what motivates
him so long as we can’t guess his
deepest desires, but we can know one
thing for sure, the more wealth he at-
tains the more privileged an audience
he appeals to.
