Umiujaq Tout se passe bien à Umiujaq: les recettes dépassent les projections, et comme aucun investissement ou achat important n’ a été nécessaire cette année, la coop a même réalisé un bénéfice! Les nombreuses divisions comptent quelques nouveaux visages, ce qui devrait avoir un effet positif et favoriser la stabilité. Le magasin de cette petite communauté est toujours impeccable et bien approvisionné en marchandises diversifiées; c’ est un excellent exemple pour toutes les autres coopératives! On y a souligné en grand le temps des Fêtes en tenant de nombreuses journées de soldes et en organisant des jeux et des tirages pour tous.
Inukjuak La coop d’ Inukjuak peut être fière: lors de l’ assemblée générale annuelle de la FCNQ, en avril, elle a remporté – pour la troisième année consécutive – le trophée Peter Murdoch, qui récompense la coopérative ayant obtenu le meilleur rendement annuel général. Toutes nos félicitations à Lizzie, Lucassie et toute l’ équipe pour leur dévouement et leur travail acharné. L’ année a encore une fois été fantastique, et nous sommes heureux de récompenser les membres de cette coopérative par l’ une des plus importantes ristournes de son histoire! Complètement rénové, le bâtiment d’ origine de l’ hôtel( construit en 2001) s’ attire les compliments de nombreux visiteurs.
Ivujivik L’ année a été fructueuse, et les ventes dépassent encore une fois les prévisions. Le personnel de la coop travaille fort pour garnir les tablettes du magasin et propose encore plus de nouveaux produits aux membres cette année. Toutes les divisions fonctionnent bien, et les membres ont hâte de vivre une nouvelle année pleine de réussites!
Kangiqsujuaq Le nouvel hôtel, ouvert depuis deux ans maintenant, a vu ses recettes augmenter de 43 %. En janvier 2016, la coop a terminé l’ année avec un excédent grâce à une augmentation des ventes dans toutes ses divisions, malgré une perte d’ exploitation entraînée par d’ importants investissements dans le nouveau magasin et le nouvel hôtel. Umiujaq Umiujaq is doing quite well: revenues are above projections and there were no large investments or purchases to be made this year- they ended the year with an overall surplus! There are some new faces to the multiple divisions of the co-op, which should have a positive impact and offer continued stability. Despite being a smaller community, their large store is always impeccable – clean, fully stocked and offering a large variety of items. They set a great example for all communities! The Christmas holidays were celebrated in style with many discount days, games and draws for all to enjoy!
Inukjuak The co-op is proud to announce that during the FCNQ’ s Annual General Meeting in April, it was once again awarded the“ Peter Murdoch” trophy. This trophy is given to the cooperative with the best annual overall performance. The co-op has held the trophy now for 3 years. We would like to congratulate Lizzie, Lucassie and the whole team on their hard work and dedication. They have had another fantastic year and were thrilled to reward their members with one of the largest return-to-members in co-op history! The original section of the co-op hotel built in 2001 was completely renovated, receiving many complements from guests.
Ivujivik This past year has been fruitful with sales again surpassing forecasts. The co-op staff are working hard to keep the store shelves full and are bringing in even more new products this year for their members to enjoy. All divisions are running smoothly and members are looking forward to another successful year ahead!
Kangiqsujuaq The new hotel has been operating now for two full years and its revenue has increased by 43 %. The co-op ended up with an operating surplus for its year-end in January 2016 thanks to increased sales in all of its divisions, even though an operating loss was budgeted due to the large investments the co-op made in its new store and hotel. Forecasts for this year show the same increasing trends and should translate into a very nice result for the co-op and all of its divisions.
