asked questions to them. After the tour was
done, all the information was gathered and
the projects are currently being analyzed for
their feasibility. By the end of the analyses,
which will take a little more time because
there are 14 co-ops all of whom want to do
various new projects, the co-op boards will
be presented with the scenarios so that they
in turn will decide on their projects.
Some co-ops, like the one at Quaqtaq and
Kangiqsualujjuaq, are looking into having a
new store constructed, or having an extension of their existing stores. While those
like Umiujaq have new stores as well as
hotels and would wait another while before
looking at new activities. At most co-ops
there was mention of wanting a food counter for take out foods. It is an exciting time
for the co-ops as they grow and as their
needs and their members’ needs change.

L’hiver met beaucoup de stress sur votre

Pour prévenir le gel de condensation à
l’intérieur de votre réservoir d’essence, ce qui
causerait un dépôt d’eau dans votre moteur,
vous devriez garder votre réservoir de gaz
rempli au moins à moitié durant l’hiver.
Certains croient qu’on devrait laisser la voiture tourner au ralenti lors de commissions,
par exemple, dans des circonstances de froid
extrême (-40s). Ceci n’est ni nécessaire ni bon
pour l’environnement. Si vous ne vous absentez pas pendant longtemps, votre voiture démarrera sans problème, même s’il fait un peu
froid dans la voiture lors de votre retour.

Winter puts a lot of strain on vehicles. For
example, in the extreme cold it is possible to
drive out of one’s tire. This is caused by a combination of the rubber freezing as well as a low
air pressure inside the tire. The latter is caused
when the air inside the tire contracts in the
cold. It is advisable to put more air in your
tires during winter. And if the motion of your
car seems bumpy after take off, this is likely
because a tire has developed a flat spot. It will
disappear once the tire warms and the rubber
regains its flexibility.
