On a scale of one to
mind your own business,
how bad is it
that I gave
the bus schedule
from central PA
to West Virginia
to a stranger with plans
to elope this Saturday?
Lights, Darks.
He said she cleans
buildings with names
he can neither
remember nor
pronounce. I said
it’s fine, they’re named
for someone dead
or someone loaded
and either way
we wouldn’t meet them.
Delicates.
I can count eleven reasons
to travel through Columbus,
to get to Charleston,
and every one
is made of steel
and holding together
the bones of the right leg
