As international students from China, we carry the memories of our hometown by food. As we travel to different parts of the world, one of the most significant ways for us to get to know their culture is tasting the food. Traditional foods for specific festivals usually have their own meanings when they first became traditions, but as time goes, they gradually become a custom which people are used to. They give the festivals special identifications and make the memories for generations of people.

It's an interesting experience to talk to people from different background and get to know their festivals. By eating the food, we are able to get a slightly deeper understanding of the festivals and the culture behind them.
