Another friend offered her thoughts as well, saying

We definitely wear a mask the moment we log into Second Life, and that you will find we wear our best mask, our avatars our best representation of what we strive to achieve. And perhaps it does not imply that what we consider to be good means it is good to others as well. SL amplifies our egotism because it lets us experience what it would be to just be the way we want to be. The danger in this can be that we find there are those within SL that give more importance to the virtual aspects of our lives than our RL because it makes us feel better. Likely a wrong choice on those individual parts, but it is part of the SL experience to indulge oneself."

I took their words and thought they made some excellent points about the masks we wear in Second Life. I also think a big aspect of Second Life is that of indulgence. Whether racing to the newest event and splurging on must haves or delving into the sexual side of SL, there’s a lot to indulge in. And that leads to my indulgence. I love to explore sensuality, constantly examining the beauty of body language. And so for this month,

combined the concepts of Masks and Sensuality, asking a few amazing stylists to take part and I am very happy to share with you my first gallery for The Dark Room.
