LOVE OF

LIFE

3-How would you describe your style?

I would describe my style as photo-realistic. I want to imagine myself stepping into the pictures I take. Eventually I would like to get into the photo manipulation, which is a whole different category but one I intend on exploring.

4- What do you primarily photograph? Do you have a specialty? i.e., taking fashion, landscaping, profile pictures? etc.

As in real life, my first love in SL photography is scenics. So many beautiful sims are created with such attention to detail that I always feel like a kid in a candy store – so much to see and explore and its always evolving. It has only been during the past year or so that I started taking selfies. In the process, I discovered I had... ummm… a serious wings fetish, which Wren can attest to! While I am limited in real life, I have found that taking photos in Second Life to be a wonderful way to express myself and to tell a story.

5-Who or what inspires you?

OMG what doesn’t? Sometimes it is an object or an outfit that inspires me. Sometimes I find inspiration in some of the most amazing sims just by map hopping around the grid.

When I am not sim hopping, I am checking out blogs that report on new and exciting sims.

For example, this past Holiday season, DRD created a beautiful winter sim with a locomotive and I thought about how, in the wild wild west, the advancement of locomotives opened up the country from coast to coast and that in the process, a part of our early history went by the wayside. I pictured the scene in my head then went about

making it reality, so to speak. As in all my photos, I take as long as I have to in order to bring everything together (for this photo, it took me a week to find a saddleless horse I could ride) and the photo that came out of it was worth all the effort and is among one of my favorites.
