MATING DANCE BY WREN NOIR
All tools available through image editing software may be used (ie. dodge, burn, blur, lighting adjustments, etc); HOWEVER -- and this is of major importance -- all alterations and modifications do not change or distort the SL avatar or objects in any way. The avatar or object would be easily recognizable inworld from the photograph. Simply put: "what you see is what you get." What we have found is that when someone is asking for a 'raw' shot, what they actually would prefer is a Naturally Edited Photo. They want to see exactly what your avatar looks like and would be okay with some minor softening of the problems caused by the planes that make up an avatar or other minor adjustments.
The image here (Mating Dance) is nearly a raw shot except for the adjustment to the light/dark contrast, which in all respects leaves the true impression of the avatar, yet many models would be afraid to make such an adjustment when a raw photo is requested.
